Kicking off the summer with soccer

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The spring of 2013 was a great one for county high school soccer. So, steps are now being taken to ensure future successes at the region and state level.

On Thursday, Perry High School boys soccer coach Nathan Dooley began the Panthers Youth Soccer Camp for boys and girls at the campus facility.

Dooley said there were 65 children registered, which is up from 45 at his camp last year, and that perhaps even more showed up.

They learned from both Perry High coaches and Panther players on shooting at the goal, defending the goal and how to use your head. Of course they got to go at each other in team games as also shown.
