“Jump Challenge” causes concern in Houston County Schools
A video posted online Friday raised concerns. According to Dr. Mark Scott, Superintendent of the Houston County Board of Education, on Thursday an incident occurred in which a Warner Robins High School teacher was convinced by students to participate in the “Jump Challenge.” The teacher, as seen in the video of the event, stood between two students at either side of her. One student jumped, and then the other, when the teacher jumped, both students proceded to kick the back of her legs. This caused the teacher to fall onto the floor.
“Although we are not able to comment on individual student discipline, we want to be very clear that we will not tolerate this type of behavior in our schools,” Scott said.
