James Herbert “Herb” Potts, 91, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2017, at his residence with his loving family by his side. Funeral Services were held at 12 Noon on Monday, November 27, 2017, at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Interment with Military Honors was in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Dooly County immediately following the service. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – noon Monday at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Crosspoint Baptist Church or Homestead Hospice.

Mr. Potts was born in Dooly County and was the son of the late James Wesley and Eula Veartrice Burks Potts. A member of Crosspoint Baptist Church, Mr. Potts was retired as Manager of Rhodes Furniture Company. He was proud to have been a veteran of the United States Army during World War II. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, and fishing.

Left to cherish the memories of Mr. Potts are his loving wife, June Brown Potts, of Perry; his children, Jim Potts (Genie) of Mt. Pleasant, S.C, Ron Potts of College Park, GA, and Darryl Potts of Perry; one grandchild, Jamie Potts of Charleston, S.C.
