Introduction to Beekeeping Class

The Heart of Georgia Beekeepers will present a free

“Introduction to Beekeeping Class” on March 23, 2013 at the Old Houston County

Courthouse in downtown Perry, Georgia (910 Main Street). This class is designed

for people who are interested in starting beekeeping, those who are just

interested in beekeeping, or in gardening. The morning session will be in the

top floor conference room and will be from 9:00 AM until 12:00 Noon. The

afternoon session will be from 1:00 OM until mid afternoon (4:00PM) at a nearby

bee yard where students will open beehives, identify bees, learn the parts of a

hive, and see the bees at work. We will have protective gloves, veils, and

suits for the students. The class is open to all ages and will be considered
