Introducing: Around the County Sports Podcast

Some readers know of the Around the County Football Podcast I hosted briefly last season. Since the final episode adjustments were continuously made to improve the show. Now, I’m ready to bring a consistent sports podcast for this school year.

I’m excited to present Around the County Sports Podcast.

The show will be reminiscent of last year’s football show but will cover all the sports you see in The Journal, hence the slight title change. Don’t even worry though; Around the County Sports Podcast will be the top source for the beloved high school football in Houston County.

I’ll still have interviews from coaches and players; game recaps, segments with my takes and of course, segments revolving around the best athletes in the county.

For those not yet aware, six high schools are in Houston County: Perry, Northside, Warner Robins, Houston County, Veterans and The Westfield School (private school). It’s a county rich with talent all across the board.

Around the County Sports Podcast is a fun hub for local sports that will feature special guests, my insight, news and much more.

There will be a particular focus on highlighting the athletes in the area, sharing their stories and achievements. This podcast is an extension from my written articles published in The Journal.

The debut episode airs on Monday, August 2 and I’ll continue to promote the podcast leading up to the first episode.
