HypeWing opens new location on Russell Parkway 

WARNER ROBINS — HypeWing has recently opened a new location at 504 Russell Parkway.  

HypeWing, obviously, sells wings, but they pride themselves on the variety of foods they offer, Managing Partner Shavon Toomer said.

“We range from wings to hibachi to burgers. We have a little bit of it all, actually,” Toomer said. They also serve cheesesteaks and seafood. 

Since the grand opening Nov. 15, Toomer said Warner Robins has welcomed them with open arms. 

“This particular store didn’t get much marketing, but the response to this location has been amazing as we’ve gotten so much great feedback,” she said. 

Toomer said Hypewing held a preview the day before the grand opening. For their preview day, HypeWing chose a line of employment for a meal giveaway, giving free food to city employees, and first responders. 

The official grand opening the next day was not too overwhelming, according to Toomer. 

“It was a nice flow to get our ducks in a row with what we needed to modify to see what worked and what didn’t work, and each day it has picked up,” she said. 

HypeWing’s atmosphere and overall goal is to make customers feel better than when they walked through the door. 

“We are big on Southern hospitality, but our biggest thing we pride ourselves on is the service,” she said. “We always want everyone to come in and feel welcomed, helped and to not feel like a burden. All of my staff, and myself included, enjoy what we do, and when you come in you’re going to hear music, singing and dancing, as it’s just a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere.” 

Toomer said HypeWing originally wanted to open in Houston County, but could not find a suitable location. 

“When we decided to do a wing restaurant, we searched Houston County first, and we just had a really hard time finding a location,” she said. 

They ultimately opened in Macon, but Toomer emphasized that Houston County has always been where they wanted to put a HypeWing. 

“Just come stop by and see us. You won’t be disappointed,” she said. 

HypeWing is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
