Houston Healthcare’s Burns turns 100
Houston Healthcare celebrated a special birthday for one of their volunteers last week. Jim Burns turned 100 on Thursday, but his fellow coworkers, family and friends threw him a party on Friday.
Burns has spent the last 20 years volunteering at the Houston Medical Center logging more than 14,500 times. His daughter, Pat McCray, said she was overwhelmed by all of the love shown to her father Friday.
Burns is also a United States Air Force veteran. He served in World War II and the Korean War.
