Houston Healthcare welcomes new chief information officer

Charles Briscoe, chief operating officer for Houston Healthcare, proudly announces the selection of Chris Beasley as the chief information officer (CIO) for Houston Healthcare beginning July 24.

Beasley has served in a variety of positions within the medical information technology field, beginning with Coliseum Health System, progressing to Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, South Carolina, and his most current position at St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System in Savannah.

As CIO, Beasley will provide oversight and management of the health system’s information service areas. He received his master’s degree in business administration at Georgia College and State University.

Beasley is a native of Monroe County and his wife, Shellie, is from Macon. They have two children, Katie and Alex.
