Houston County Sheriff’s Office shares public safety alert to avoid Smithville Church Road

The post said members of the Sheriff’s Office are in the area in reference to a possible domestic violence incident.

UPDATE: One male suspect is in custody and the scene is secure. There were no injuries, the Houston County Sheriff’s Office says.

WARNER ROBINS — The Houston County Sheriff’s Office issued a public safety alert urging people to avoid the area of Smithville Church Road between Leverette Road and Laramie Road. 

At approximately 10:50 a.m., HCSO made the post on their Facebook page.

It said members of the Sheriff’s Office are in the area in reference to a possible domestic violence incident. There was a heavy law enforcement presence, however, there was no threat to the public, according to HCSO.
