The Georgia Department of Education released the 2014 College and Career Ready Performance Index this week. The CCRPI is Georgia’s accountability system which measures public schools and school districts statewide based primarily on student progress and achievement.

Houston County’s overall single score for 2014 was 76.6 points, which is 4.6 points above the state’s overall single score of 72.

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Mark Scott commented, “We are pleased that our district continues to outperform the state and congratulate our students, parents, teachers and administrators. While the state CCRPI benchmarks became more difficult to achieve this year, the system continues to make strides.

“Our schools use this important measurement tool to help meet the needs of all students so that they may graduate college and career ready.”
