Houston County traveled down the road to play Warner Robins on Tuesday, March 10.

For Houston, it was another run of the mill game for both the boys and girls squads. The Houston County Lady Bears extended their record to 8-0 after the victory.

The Lady Bears won 6-0, scoring two goals in the first half and four in the second. Of their eight wins, they’ve only scored under six goals in a game twice and up to that point only allowed one goal against them.

The Warner Robins Lady Demons lost just their second game on the season to Houston. They still had a solid 5-2 record and shouldn’t beat themselves up on the loss because Houston is proving to be one of the best in the county and the state.

In the boys’ game, Houston came out with a 3-0 victory. The Houston boys aren’t as high scoring as the girls, but they both keep getting the same result. Houston improved their record to 3-0.

Warner Robins has had their struggles on the boys squad as they were 1-6 on the season after the Houston game. They bounced back the next game to get their first win, beating Westside 10-3. That’s a huge win for this squad because before that game they combined for just three goals scored on the season. With that confidence boost, Warner Robins will look to get a win streak going against Rutland in Macon on Tuesday, March 17. Both teams play with the girls starting at 5:30 p.m. and boys at 7:30 p.m.

Houston County will prepare for an away game at Stratford Academy on Saturday, March 14. Lady Bears start at 5:30 p.m. and the boys play at 7:30 p.m.
