Captain Jon Holland of Houston County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) shared with Houston Home Journal the details of a home invasion and armed robbery that took place at a private family resident on Monday, January 10. It was at approximately 3:22 p.m. that HCSO responded to a home invasion that took place in the 100 block of Marlin Terrance in northern Houston County.

“Responding deputies located three victims at the residence, which included an adult male, an adult female and a juvenile male,” Holland revealed.

The captain shared that the victims in the home reported that three armed men entered the rear door of the home using force and demanded money from them.

“The adult male was tied up,” he shared, “and he and the adult female were held up at gunpoint. The juvenile,” Holland added, “was able to hide within the residence while the incident unfolded.”

The intruders were described as Black males, 20 to 30 years of age, wearing face coverings and dark clothing, according to Holland. They fled the scene after taking three handguns and an undisclosed amount of cash. While there were no serious injuries reported, Holland mentioned that the adult male resident received a superficial wound.

“One of the suspects struck him over the head with a handgun,” he said.

The case is under investigation at this time. Holland confirmed that the suspects are still at-large as they fled the area. There were no leads that could be shared at our press time on Tuesday afternoon.

Holland shared that the lead investigator is Corporal John Kamens. He urges anyone with information regarding this incident to call 478-542-2080 or 478-542-2085.
