HCSO investigating early morning burglary
WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — A man wanted all the smokes Wednesday morning.
According to the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, on July 12, around 3 a.m., a convenience store at the intersection of Dunbar Road and Houston Lake Road was burglarized. So far, nothing is known about the perpetrator other than what appeared on security camera footage as he broke in using a cinder block later found on the lot.
Tobacco products, cigarettes and cigars were all that were stolen; it appeared the suspect did not steal money and it is unclear whether he has ties to the area. However, as Lt. Matthew Moulton explained, the suspect came to the store on wheels, since investigators found fresh tire tracks on scene.
“We believe this guy was driving a vehicle, there was a set of tire tracks behind the store… and there were foot tracks leading away from the store to the tire tracks,” said Moulton.
If anyone has more information on the case, they are encouraged to contact Sgt. Anna Lange at (478) 542-2085.
