HCSO: Half-naked woman arrested after attacking deputy
BONAIRE, Ga. — A Bonaire woman described as “half-naked” was arrested earlier this month after she spit on, bit and kicked a Houston County Sheriff’s deputy, then urinated in the patrol car.
According to reports by the sheriff’s office, on March 5, deputies received a call early in the morning in reference to a Dodge pickup truck parked on Highway 247 and Sandy Run Road. The original caller said the vehicle was in the right hand lane and was concerned about the vehicle being hit.
Deputies were dispatched around 1:30 a.m. When they arrived on scene, they found the pickup in the right turning lane on Sandy Run, partially merged onto the highway. They attempted to make contact with a female subject found sleeping in the truck surrounded by open containers, including a bottle of vodka.
The female subject was later identified as 35-year-old Brandy Camp of Bonaire. The responding deputy attempted to open the locked door to the vehicle, then knocked on the window. Camp had awoken briefly and repositioned, then fully woke up sometime later.
After she had woken up, Camp appeared to be confused and began yelling at the deputy while hitting the windows. The deputy believed Camp would be combative if she were to leave the vehicle.
Camp then opened the door, leaving the vehicle without pants or underwear on. As she approached the deputy, he attempted to secure her in handcuffs, but she began to resist. The responding deputy took her to the ground and began to handcuff her, while Camp began biting the deputy on the foot.
As the deputy took Camp to the car, she spit on him, then spit on another deputy as they attempted to place her in the back of the patrol car. During the arrest, she also kicked the responding deputy in the legs. The deputy was uninjured.
After securing her in the car, Camp was taken to the Houston County Detention Facility. During transport, she continued to spit on the glass divider, kicked the windows of the patrol car, and finally, urinated in the back seat.
Camp was charged with Indecent Exposure, Felony Obstruction, Misdemeanor Obstruction, two counts of Simple Assault and Simple Battery of a Police Officer.
