Have you listened to the Around the County Football Podcast yet?

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

If you’re a fan, family member of a player/coach, or just want to know about one or all six high school football teams around Houston County; look no further than the Around the County Football Podcast hosted by yours truly, Joshua Miller.

Around the County Football Podcast is a radio-styled show that isn’t just me ranting about the games. As sports editor of the HHJ with knowledge on all six teams, I’ve found a perfect outlet to provide high school football coverage each week and every week in a way Houston Home Journal subscribers have never seen before.

Around the County Football Podcast airs every Sunday around noon, where I’ll provide coverage of the games from every Houston County football team. The show features quotes from head coaches and players while I give insight to what happened leading up to games, how the game went and what’s next for the team.

I’ve also incorporated a Money Man of the Week segment that highlights players from each team that have standout performances. The Money Man of the Week from each game I attend will be featured in the show with snippets from our interview. I also plan on installing more segments to the show during the season.

The link to the show is joshuamillerwrites.podbean.com and Podbean is available in both Apple and Android app stores where you can easily access the show on your mobile device. The show is also hosted on Google Podcasts and will be available on more platforms soon.

If you have any suggestions for a platform on which you’d like to access the show, please feel free to comment or email me so I can try to make it happen.

I’d also like to incorporate the listeners into the show by answering questions sent in via email or left in the comments. So feel free to ask/suggest anything for the show. I’m all ears.

As of right now, this show is primarily focused on high school football in Houston County, but I look forward to shifting the show’s focus toward high school basketball once the football season is finished.

I’m excited to bring this to the community, and I hope you all enjoy!
