WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — The Georgia Bureau of Investigations is now investigating an incident involving a barricaded gunman that occurred Friday evening.

According to the Warner Robins Police Department (WRPD), on March 4, around 6 p.m, WRPD officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Appian Way. The original dispatch was in response to shots fired.

The suspect fled the scene, but officers continued to search the area, eventually finding a trailer in the 500 block of Watson Blvd. There, the WRPD reported shots fired at them. WRPD SWAT was activated after they set up a perimeter. With assistance from the Houston County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia State Patrol Aviation, they attempted to contact the suspect, who was hiding under the trailer.

After several attempts to communicate, the SWAT team found the suspect deceased under the trailer. WRPD reports no shots fired from them.
