Games around the county
Three high schools are slated to play home games on Friday, March 13.
Houston County
Houston girls and boys are preparing to play region rival Lee County at home. Houston Lady Bears are 1-0 in the region after their 4-1 win over Valdosta last week.
The same goes for the boys. They also beat Valdosta and both teams have their sights set on a region championship.
Girls start at 5:30 p.m. and boys start at 7:30 p.m.
Perry
The Panthers are about to be midway through their region play stint of their schedule. In the girls and boys region, Spalding is first by a margin but the rest of the standings are up for grabs.
Their next game is against Upson-Lee where both of their clubs sit at the bottom of the region standings. This’ll be a good opportunity for Perry to pick up some region wins.
Girls begin at 5:30 p.m. and boys start at 7:30 p.m.
Northside
The Northside clubs will gear up for their region games against Valdosta. Even though their overall record isn’t flattering, the region is what matters most and with just one loss in it so far, the Eagles can start their turnaround against Valdosta.
Northside’s boys club is also 0-1 in the region and is coming up on their final two region games of the season. They’ll also look to get rolling agaisnt Valdosta.
The girls start at 5:30 p.m. and boys start at 7 p.m.
