Future bright for Hill and Houston

“I’m interested in any college that’s interested in me,” were recent remarks from Houston County’s rising sophomore Antwaan Hill Jr. Antwaan Hill Jr, has risen to nationally stardom, while continuing too excel on the gridiron. In the spring of 2022, Hill received various power-5 scholarship offers.

These offers consist of; Florida Atlantic, Georgia Southern, University Of Pittsburg, University Of Louisville, Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Western Kentucky and the University Of Georgia. The 6’5, 215 pound quarterback has developed into the traditional pro style, dual threat gunslinger. In the class of 2025, Antwaan Hill Jr, still has more time to grow.

Media worthiness and name-likeness has grown with the newly implemented NIL rules, in college football. Having the attraction of companies and business moguls allow collegiate athletes to monetize from their name, within the NCAA. Why, are these NIL rules important? Growing an audience while younger, gives athletes more of an advantage when they enter college. It becomes easier to focus on just academics and athletics.

After a good spring, Antwaan Hill Jr, is under the helm of a new head coach, Jeremy Edwards. In “Bear-Down” country, the summer practices will begin on June 6. These practices will take place four days out of the week. Coach Edwards recently mentioned how he coaches his athletes to get one percent better, each and every day. Hill was a thousand plus yard passer during his freshman season and will look to add to those numbers in his sophomore season.
