Friday Night Football Roundup — Week 10
Recap Week 10 football with the Friday Night Football Roundup.

After a bye week last week, many Houston County teams got busy with important region games this week.
Here’s a roundup of Friday’s football:
Houston County

The Bears took a trip down to Douglas in their toughest region test to date and fell to a stellar Coffee defense. The game remained scoreless for most of the game, but the Trojans broke the silence with 1:08 left in the third quarter with their first score on fourth down. They added another to make it a 14-0 final.
Northside

The Eagles took a beating on Friday from reigning 6A champion Thomas County Central, losing 62-0. This is the second week in a row they’ve allowed 60-plus points, and they are now on a six-game losing streak.

Perry

Perry took down Ware County 31-21 in an important region game, putting them in the driver’s seat of Region 1-4A. Kory Pettigrew brought down a clutch, contested touchdown catch to give the Panthers some breathing room in the fourth quarter. Perry controlled the line of scrimmage and played solid coverage in the secondary.
Veterans

The Warhawks remained winless this week as they lost to undefeated Lee County 67-10. This is the second week in a row they’ve allowed 60-plus, and they haven’t broken 10 points offensively since they scored 27 against Starr’s Mill in Week 3.
Warner Robins

The Demons took care of business at New Hampstead on Friday, winning 34-22. This is the third-lowest score the Phoenix have been held to this season.
Westfield

The Hornets ground it out against Brookstone and came out with a 17-10 win. This puts them in sole possession of District 5, with St. Anne-Pacelli being the only thing standing in their way from their first district title since 2015.
