WARNER ROBINS, Ga. – A house fire on 102 Mercer Court woke up the neighborhood Friday morning.

The Warner Robins Fire Department received the call at approximately 7:25 a.m. according to Assistant Chief Scott Renfroe.

Renfroe said that when they arrived at the scene there was a moderate amount of fire, and it mostly affected the garage and parts of the kitchen.

Once crews were informed the residents and their pets were safely out of the house, they went right to work. Renfroe said they immediately began attack on the fire and performed a search on the residence. The fire crew was at the scene for approximately two hours extinguishing the flames.

An ambulance was on scene but there were no injuries from the residents or their pets. The garage was completely damaged and there was smoke and heat damage throughout the structure.

Investigators responded to the scene to determine the fire’s origin, but the exact cause is unknown at this time.

Renfroe said he thinks the fire crew did an outstanding job in putting out the fire and keeping everyone safe.
