Evelyn R. Money
Mrs. Money attended Wooster College and worked as a bank teller before becoming a fulltime homemaker. She established warm, welcoming homes in Struthers and Boardman, OH, Crown Point, IN, and Perry, GA before moving to Newnan to be closer to her younger daughter. She was active in the Daughters of the American Revolution, serving as Regent in two states where she lived and was a member of Tri Kappa service sorority. She arranged a program by the Up With People group, sponsored an American Field Service exchange student from South Africa, delivered Meals on Wheels, and was active in Book Browsers. She enjoyed playing bridge, planning trips and traveling, reading, and eating good food.
She was raised and married in the Presbyterian church and became a Lutheran after her marriage. In Ohio, she was active in the altar guild at Martin Luther Lutheran Church. After moving to Indiana, she helped establish Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and later attended Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She returned to her Presbyterian roots joining the Perry Presbyterian Church when she moved to Georgia.
She is survived by her husband, Dale of 68 years of marriage; son, Richard (Patricia) of Villa Park, IL; daughters, Marilyn (Paul) Irwin of Bloomington, IN and Suzanne (Mark) Evans of Newnan, GA; granddaughter, Jennifer Irwin (Alan Wiggins), and great grandson Brandon Irwin Wiggins of Plymouth, MI. A memorial service will be held at Perry Presbyterian Church on Sunday, December 11 at 4:30. In lieu of flowers the family asks you make a tribute/memorial donation to the Alzheimer’s Association in the name of Evelyn Money.
