Warner Robins

– Elliott Franklin Rozier, 87, entered into rest on Thursday, January 3, 2013.

 

Mr. Rozier was born on December 14, 1925 in Allentown,

Georgia to the late Raymond F. Rozier and Hattie Green Rozier. A resident of

Warner Robins since 1942, he was a founding charter member of Green Acres

Baptist Church for over fifty years where he served as a Deacon, Trustee,

Training Union Director, and on the Building Committee.  With pride and honor, he was a veteran

of the United States Navy serving his country during World War II. After thirty

six years of dedicated service, he retired from civil service at Robins Air

Force Base where he was an Air Logistics Scheduling Supervisor. He was an

accomplished woodworker, enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time with his

wife of fifty eight years, his three children, four grandchildren, and one

great grandchild. Mr. Rozier was also an early leader of the National Little

League and Warner Robins Recreation Department. In addition to his parents, his

beloved wife, Mary Meeks Rozier, daughter, Lynn Marie Lockhart, granddaughter,

Tara Elizabeth Lockhart, six brothers and sisters, and his step mother, Merita

Rozier, all preceded him in death.

 

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving children,

Renee Rhodes (Jeff), Kathleen; John David Rozier (Nancy), Warner Robins; son in

law, Jim Lockhart, Middleburg, Florida; sister in law, Betty O’Neal; brother in

law, Percy Meeks (June); four grandchildren; one great grandchild; and many

other loving family members and friends.

 

Visitation will be Saturday, January 5, from 6:00 p.m. until

8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. 

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 6, 2013 in

the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home

with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Green Acres

Baptist Church Building Fund, 901 Elberta Road, Warner Robins, Georgia 31093 or

to the Middle Georgia Alzheimer’s Association, 886 Mulberry Street, Macon,

Georgia 31201.
