Eagles soar past Wildcats 13-10
The Northside Eagles won a huge game on last Friday night against the Valdosta Wildcats. The Eagles and their explosive offense came into the game sporting a 5-2 record. Valdosta’s defensive was the first to give up points as the Eagles gained much momentum throughout the first half. Valdosta scored 10 points late in the second quarter before heading into halftime.
Coming into the second half, Valdosta was in control of the lead, 10-7. Momentum shifted after a terrible drive for Valdosta, in which Isaiah Harvey, Jaylen Allen and Donovan Duncan claimed sacks on back-to-back plays. On the next drive for Northside, Quarterback Cameran Brown found some space on a 26-yard scramble, which led to a walk-off field goal by Ashton Paredes.
The Eagles defense left Valdosta scoreless in the second half and made several big plays to help their team win their first 6A region game. The Northside Eagles improved to 6-2 on the season and are set to battle Lee County on Friday night.
