Eagles glide north, regroup after Tiftarea win

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

After taking some time from the diamond, the Eagles from Green Street are back in full swing. Ironically, the Eagles have not won any of their region 1-6A games.

The Eagles from Northside have won seven, thus far. Scoring 83 runs and allowing fewer than 144, Northside Eagles are looking very confident after beating Tift-Area Academy. Now, the Eagles are competing in their region 1-6A stretch of games.

The Northside Eagles are not the bandwagon team of our area, but being a Northside Eagle comes with its expectations. The coaches’ staff at Northside has set the bar for their athletes to succeed on the diamond.

The Eagles beat Tift-Area Academy in a 9-8 barnburner, where Ryan Day led the team in batting average. Day also leads the Eagles in overall team batting average at .333. The Eagles traveled to Leesburg (Lee County) yesterday. The Trojans are atop the 1-6A region of GHSA. The Northside Eagles will look to add to their one-game streak of winning. The Eagles have gone 3-5 at home and on the road this season. The 0-3 record for the Northside Eagles will keep them in third place in the region.
