Demons bounce back with 70-14 win
The Warner Robins Demons football team won Friday’s home conference game against the Wayne County Yellow Jackets. The Demons rallied together and scored 42 first half points en route to their 70-14 win. The Warner Robins Demons scored eight total touchdowns, four were receiving touchdowns and four were rushing touchdowns. The Demons defense forced two fumbles & recovered 2 fumbles, which were converted into touchdowns. The Warner Robins offense racked up 447 yards of total offense. Of those 447 yards, 244 were through the air and 203 yards were gained on the ground. The Warner Robins Demons have scored 420 points this season, while giving up 177 points on defense. The Demons improved their season record to 7-1, (3-1) in region 1-AAAAA. The Demons remain as the best team in class AAAAA and are now the third best overall in the Peach State. The Demons also fell in the national rankings, as they are now the 76 best high school football team in the country. The Warner Robins Demons are set to play Coffee County Trojans on Friday evening. Warner Robins and Coffee are coming into this game with 7-1 records. The Demons are averaging 232 rushing yards per game, while the Trojans are only averaging 169 per contest. Through the air, Warner Robins will usually pass for 243 yards per game. The Coffee Trojans are a balanced team and average163 yards passing per game. The Trojans defense does not miss tackles and are averaging 83 per game, as opposed to 57 a game for the Demons. Warner Robins will put the Coffee Trojans tackling to the test on Friday night, as the Demons high-powered offense will look to match their per game totals. The Demons average 47 points per game and Coffee only scores 27 on averages. Kickoff for this contest is set for 7:30.
