Demonettes, Lady Bears and Lady Eagles are off to a hot start: The stakes are high for these ladies
The Warner Robins Lady Demonettes, The Northside Lady Eagles and the Houston County Lady Bears have begun their 2021-2022 campaigns on a tear. These three women’s teams have a combined record of 24-8, and neither team has played more than 12 games. Out of the twelve varsity men’s and women’s teams, The Lady Bears from HOCO are showcasing the best hardwood record in the area. Currently, the HOCO Lady Bears are 9-2 overall. The lady Bears took a lost in their recent matchup against an undefeated Dodge County. HOCO lost a close 49-47 contest at home. The game for the Lady bears will be at home in their cross-town rivalry against a strong Northside team. The Northside Lady eagles are on a 7-2 start to their hardwood season. Coach Tamica Sneed has continued to strive for excellence during her helm as the coach for the Lady Eagles. The Lady Eagles lost 60-57, against the Valdosta Wildcats during their holiday tournament. Leading in scoring for the Wildcats was Denver Arnold with 17 points, Essence Cody had 13 points and Ahnye Wilkins added 11 points. Statistics for the Northside Lady Eagles were not uploaded to MaxPreps before the HHJ press deadline. The Warner Robins Lady Demonettes have a record of 8-4, as they begin their 2021 campaign. The Lady Demonettes will play at home on today against the Stockbridge Lady Tigers. The Lady Tigers are 10-2 on the season. Cedar Shoals, Union Grove, Carrolton and the Houston County Lady Bears are the only losses that the Lady Demonettes have suffered during their 2021-2022 season. I expect the Warner Robins Lady Demonettes, The Northside Lady Eagles and the Houston County Lady Bears to play in a region championship game of their respected regions. I also expect these three teams to clinch a top seed and make a deep run in the GHSA State Playoffs, of their respected classifications.
