DeEtta Elizabeth Clemmer Dean
Mrs. DeEtta Elizabeth Clemmer Dean, 89, of Perry died Monday, October 14, 2013. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Perry. Visitation will be on Friday, October 18, 2013, from 5:00 until 7:00 in the evening at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry and during the hour preceding the service at First Baptist Church of Perry on Saturday. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests contributions be made to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 1120 Morningside Drive, Perry, GA, 31069.
Mrs. Dean was born in Lenoir City, TN, to Carl Burnice and Sarah Elizabeth McGill Clemmer. She was educated at Troy State University in Troy, AL, and retired from Bank of America, formerly Nations Bank and Bank South, in Perry, GA. She is survived by a daughter, Ms. Sharon Dean Lee of Cumming, GA; sons Mr. Larry Dean; and Mr. Jeff Dean and wife, Teri. Mrs. Dean had the joy of loving and being loved by her five grandchildren, Stacy Dean White, Jason Spencer Barrett, Robin Dean Chester, Allyson Barrett Houser, and Kayla Dean. Her joy expanded with the addition of eight great-grandchildren. She further opened her heart to three step-grandchildren then to seven additional great-grandchildren. She is survived by a brother, Mr. John Gillespie, his wife Mary, three nieces, seven nephews, and many dear friends, near and far.
She was pre-deceased in January after 66 ∏ years of marriage by the love of her life Mr. Thomas Herbert Dean. Also preceding her in death were a brother and sister-in-law Halbert Burnice and Phyllis Clemmer.
