Daisy Patch Flowers- Arranging flowers with a passion in Perry

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Keeping up with today’s trends, the classics, and mixing the two together to create unique designs with flowers is Perry’s own Daisy Patch Flowers. Whether it’s a special occasion or “just because” arrangement, owner Penny Stapleton and her staff promise to go the extra mile in making your floral gift special.

Daisy Patch Flowers roots started in 1989 formerly known as Daisy Patch Florist and Gifts. Donna Pfister was the previous owner of the business, and hired Stapleton in 2009. Later on in 2013 Pfister made the decision to retire, and wanted to pass on the business to the right person to carry on her traditions, and quality of customer service. Who better than a person like Stapleton, who has over 40 years experience in floral designs.

“I grew up in this field, it was my family’s passion,” said Stapleton. “We had a green house, eventually bought a building in conjunction with it, and turned it into a floral shop.”

Her family’s business and where she grew up was in Albuquerque New Mexico. From there Stapleton has worked across the country from working at a grower to working for a whole seller to designing, executing, and planning. She has done work for a Miss America Pageant, worked for the second-largest chain of flower shops in California, and has acquired a special events/wedding planning certificate. Stapleton made her way to Georgia in 1999, and later came to Perry in 2009.

Stapleton said “When she made the decision to retire she came to me and offered me a fabulous deal that I could not pass up. I officially became the owner and operator in January of 2014.”

What sets the Daisy Patch Flowers apart from others is the “old school” way of customer service said Stapleton.

“I grew up being taught that the customer is always right,” said Stapleton. “I know the value of having a customer, and getting them to be a repeat customer. It’s the level of service you need to get the positive feedback, and word of mouth going.”

It’s not about owning a business for Stapleton; it’s also about giving back to her community. She believes it’s important to give back and stay engaged.

“Currently I am involved with the local FFA (Future Farmers of America) volunteering, training, and I employ some of the students from FFA,” said Stapleton. “I have donated flowers to the Houston County Spelling Bee, several pageants, and church events just to name a few. I do it because it’s my passion, I am blessed by receiving business from the events I donate to, and I just love the people of Perry.”

Daisy Patch Flowers offers a variety of services like fresh flowers, plants, weddings, funerals, and has a gift line that consists of gourmet fruit baskets. For more information you can stop by the store located on 1131 Macon Road, Perry GA or go online to www.daisypatchflorist.net
