Crossroads Civitan helps out local middle school

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The Crossroads Civitan Club of Perry, GA recently made a donation to help secure teaching aids for Huntington Middle School. In particular a special needs classroom lead by Ms. Knutson. The need was discovered on Facebook by James Miller, president of the club. Mr. Miller contacted the teacher and invited her to the next Civitan meeting where they made her wish a reality. The club voted unanimously to support this effort. A few weeks later the materials were selected and have since arrived in the classroom. Crossroads Civitan meets the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:30 in the evening. The club primarily focuses on special needs children with developmental disabilities and mental / physical handicaps. Those interested in joining should call 478-213-9200 for more details.
