Counting the ballots

As you’ve read in this column recently, the outcome of this election is no surprise to me. As our third world nation continues to count the votes, our homeland has become a complete embarrassment. You can do all the hand, foot, finger, and toe counts, recounts, and super counts you desire. According to Georgia State law, the only count that matters is the one that sends our ballots thru the tabulator/scanners, the machine count. You only need a tiny bit of brain matter to understand that the conversion of my vote to an unverifiable QR code is a danger that can and will be exploited by bad actors. This is the only reason I voted using an absentee ballot in this election. If we continue to vote using Dominion voting machines in this state, it is an absolute must that I am able to verify who I vote for online. It is the only way to close the loop and ensure my vote was properly cast.

My absolute preference to the current system is to cast a paper ballot on Election Day only. I believe the time has come to ban electronic voting machines and software. They have done so in the Netherlands in favor of hand-counted paper ballots to eliminate any concerns about election hacking. The United Kingdom and Germany have followed suit. Absentee ballots and mail-in ballots should be limited and rare. The vote should be counted immediately. Drawn-out voting and counting means one thing to the average Joe: someone is attempting to manufacture votes. Let’s have bipartisan redundance ballot counting and serial numbered ballots. These are easy and effective fixes that ensure election integrity.

Pennsylvania’s Department of State sent out over 249,000 ballots to unverified voters in the 2022 election. They allowed people to vote first using mail-in ballots and verify their identification later. It has become the new normal in several states to focus on ballots instead of votes. In 2022, the Democratic machine in Pennsylvania and Michigan focused on ballot distribution and collection. Since 2018, under the guise of “expanding democracy” and propelled by the COVID-19 pandemic, the march to accepting all forms of ballots took center stage. Campaigning for votes is much different than ballot distribution and collection. If you were attempting to get as many votes as possible, you would never refuse to debate a candidate. If you are more concerned about the ballot distribution and collection, it makes little sense to debate anyone. Look no further than Arizona’s current Secretary of State and candidate for governor for proof. It appears that Democrat Katie Hobbs has beaten Republican Kari Lake after refusing to debate her. Why should she debate? She didn’t need the votes — only the ballots. Many states made ballot harvesting, illegal. In many of those same states, “ballot submissions assistance” is not. This is a more refined ballot harvesting that makes use of activist groups and community organizers. This began in California in 2018 and proved to be very effective for Democrats. There were a number of California Republicans who were leading at the end of Election Day in 2018, only to find themselves to be losers a week later when the rest of the ballots arrived and were counted. This was of course, identical to the 2020 election. Trump led on election night only to be defeated four days later. What is currently happening in Nevada and Arizona is an absolute disgrace. There is no reason whatsoever for continued ballot counting a week after the election. The Babylon Bee’s Joel Berry put it succinctly: “It’s not Republican messaging. It’s not low-quality candidates. It’s not Trump. It’s not abortion. It’s mass mail-in/drop box voting. It’s as simple as that. And Republicans will never win another election unless it’s stopped.” Amen.

The proof of all of this is in the pudding. This is the worst economy in modern history, with matching horrific inflation. More than 70% of Americans say we are headed in the wrong direction. We face out of control crime, failing schools, open borders and are no longer energy independent. Most major polls showed a GOP landslide victory. Yet they defied almost a century of historical midterm defeats by the party in power and instead went with a highly unpopular President who can’t string together a couple of coherent sentences. Biden signed the March 2021 Executive Order to empower the Federal Bureaucracy to get out the vote. The US Postal Service set up an entire new division to transport mail-in ballots during the election cycle. All of this adds up to another loss by the moronic Republicans. They deserve to lose because apparently, you just can’t fix stupid. Either we fix this corruption and fix it now, or we kiss it all goodbye. As I have said relentlessly to my friends and family for the past dozen years, WAKE UP, AMERICA!
