Controlled substance arrest made
Back on November 6, 2020, 53-year-old Barry Alan Toon was the subject of a traffic stop when an officer of Centerville Police Department spotted him driving after 11:00 p.m. with no headlights or taillights on. It was discovered that Toon was driving without a license as well and was subsequently handcuffed on the scene. A search of his vehicle found slim pipes commonly used for ingesting illegal substances.
The officer asked Toon’s consent to do a complete search of his vehicle, and was granted it. Found between the driver’s seat of the vehicle was a clear plastic baggy containing multiple small white and clear bars of suspected cocaine or methamphetamine. Toon was officially placed under arrest and charged with drug possession and for operating a vehicle as an unlicensed driver.
According to the official police report dated November 6, 2020, Toon was ultimately released from the Centerville Police Department, but based on new information received from a Houston County Sheriff’s Office report, Toon was arrested again on April 13, 2021 by Houston County officials at 115 Lake Ridge Drive in Macon following the issuance of an apparent bench warrant and charged with controlled substance possession.
