Community holds drive-in prayer for Houston Healthcare

Employees of health facilities around the world heroically put themselves in harm’s way on a daily basis to provide the best care possible to those who need it; even during a pandemic that continues to wreak widespread havoc. On Sunday, the Warner Robins community came together in large numbers to show support to the health care workers and other staff members of Houston Healthcare on Watson Boulevard. Bringing an innovative idea to life, numerous citizens drove their vehicles on to the lot of the hospital. Even after the parking spaces were filled, a continuous line of other motorists chose to just drive through the lot. In a unified effort—whether parked or in motion—the cars did it with headlights flashing and horns blowing to let the staff on the inside of the facility know that the community was behind them 100 percent and praying for them during this troublesome time.

Kevin Rowley, Executive Director-Marketing/Business Development of Houston Healthcare said it was an amazing sight to behold. “We were totally in awe of the tremendous turnout of our community in support of all that we do at Houston Healthcare. It was a truly emotional event,” Rowley added, “and we are thankful for the support of all involved.”

He further announced that the community would be doing it all over again on Monday night at Perry Hospital, and it, too, was something they were looking forward to with great excitement.
