WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Shots were fired on Thur., March 30 around 11:29 a.m. at 1439 Watson Blvd. According to Warner Robins Police, the assault was the result of a business dispute.

The victim, 55-year-old Wasi Habibzal, and suspect, 50-year-old Naim Jaber, were arguing over property management. The scene soon escalated to shots being fired with semi-automatic handguns. Neither Habibzal nor Jaber were injured, but a vehicle on the scene was struck several times.

A witness contacted law enforcement and officers later arrived at the scene, where they arrested both parties. Jaber was charged with aggravated assault, identified as the primary aggressor in the dispute.

WRPD interim Assistant Chief Wayne Fisher advised the community on what to do in these situations:

“What I encourage people to do when temper starts to flare, or [they’re] losing their point of self-control and believe the situation is devolving out of control, that it’s best to just walk away and re-approach at a later time when cooler heads prevail,” said Fisher.

The investigation has now concluded on the case.
