The Bill Glass Prison Ministry “Weekend of Champions” is scheduled to return to Middle Georgia next year, April 24-26, 2014. The Ministry has held weekend events in Middle Georgia every three years for the past 21 years.

The Local Ownership Team has already had three organizational meetings. During the first meeting, Emory M. Wilson was selected to be the Head Coach for the event. Wilson, a veteran of almost 300 prison events said, “We have almost all of our committee chairman positions filled and we have teams visiting churches.”

During the 2014 weekend event, volunteers will share the Gospel in six of the state prisons located within a 60-mile radius of Perry that house approximately 7,500 inmates. Wilson also said, “We will need 300 men and 100 women volunteers willing to share the Good News in these six prisons.”

Perry First Baptist Church will again be the host church for this event. Anyone wanting to be involved or has questions can contact Wilson at 478/244/8009 or email: emorymwilson@ gmail.com.
