August is near; touchdowns and cow bells are closer
WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — The City of Warner Robins offers the middle Georgia youth an opportunity to participate in a fun, organized, safe and competitive environment. According to the Warner Robins recreation department, “Emphasis is placed on having fun playing football and cheering while learning basic skills of the game”.
For children ages 5 to 12, Youth Football and cheerleading registration will continue until the fall. The cost to compete in the youth football organization is as follows; $90 for Warner Robins City residents, $145 for Houston County residents and $205 for residents who do not reside in Houston County. Each child will be issued a helmet and a pair of shoulder pads, two pair of pants and a football jersey. Participants must furnish their own mouthpieces. After the duration of the fall season, the players will get to keep their jerseys.
The cost to compete in the youth cheerleading organization is as follows: $85 for residents in the city of Warner Robins, $110 for Houston County residents and $125 for those who live outside of Houston County. Each child will be issued a cheer uniform that they will keep at the end of the season. The age control date is August 31, 2022. All games will be played at Tanner Park, at 200 Carl Vinson Parkway.
