Armed robbery suspect arrested in Florida
One of the suspects
allegedly involved in an armed robbery in the parking lot of the Galleria Mall
has been arrested.
According to Centerville
Police Chief Sid Andrews, Keondray Felton, 20, of Fort Valley, was arrested in
Leesburg, Fla, on Monday.
Andrews said that Felton,
along with another suspect, robbed a woman at around 1:15 p.m. on Dec. 5 in the
Sears parking lot. The two men allegedly pointed a gun at the woman and
demanded her purse. She complied.
Andrews stated that Felton
was arrested after a similar incident where he allegedly robbed another woman
in a Kohl’s parking lot in Florida.
Felton is charged with armed
robbery, aggravated assault, simple battery and pointing a pistol at another.
He is currently in jail in Florida on a $50,000 bond, said Andrews.
The Centerville police are pursuing
“strong leads on the second suspect,” stated Andrews.
