WARNER ROBINS — The Navy All-American Bowl is a collection of the 100 best high school football athletes in the nation, and Houston County’s own Antwann Hill Jr. has been selected to participate.
Hill unboxed his jersey for the game on Wednesday night with the support of many Houston County faithful in attendance.
During his senior season Hill threw for 3626 yards and 44 touchdowns, while also breaking two school records: The career passing touchdowns record at 123 (previous record held by Jake Fromm with 116) and the single-season passing touchdowns record with 44.
“All I want to say is I wouldn’t be here without God, and my family. Thank you to my teammates, coaches…,” Hill said at the event. “Why I picked the Navy All-American game over the other games, really just traditionally, the legacy that me and my parents started about a couple of years ago with Trey [Hill] my uncle. So just continuing on that legacy…”
Hill is one of 15 Georgians participating in the game, and one of two from middle Georgia. Darrell Johnson from Dodge County will also be playing.
Congratulations to AJ, and thank you for representing Houston County well!
