Robins Air Force Base reported Sunday that another member has been confirmed to have COVID-19; this makes the fourth case reported for the base.

On March 21, 2020 the base reported its first confirmed case, which was a Team Robins civilian. That same day, the base issued a declared public health emergency and was in Health Protection Bravo to reflect the moderate disease threat posed by COVID-19 and the risk of exposure to personnel.

On Monday, March 23, 2020, Robins Air Force Base reported a second case. The employees who have tested positive for COVID-19 reside in Henry County and Houston County.

Robins Air Force Base then increased its health protection condition status to Health Protection Condition (HPCON) Charlie on March 25, 2020.

“Leaders have considered mission essential and emergency essential activities and are carefully working with community and mission partners across base to ensure the right teams are able to continue critical work while protecting the most vulnerable and high risk population,” said Col. Brian Moore, Robins Air Force Base Installation Commander.

“The health and safety of Team Robins has always been the top priority to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.”

The base had already taken extra health protection measures to mitigate the spread of the virus. Members are carrying out procedures according to the Centers for Disease Control for hygiene, cleaning and disinfecting, social distancing and asking workers to stay at home if they are sick. Leadership has directed eligible employees to telework where feasible.
