Akikta Club presents checks to several local charities
The Akikta Club of Perry (Martha Miller, Judy Durmmond and
Betty Dawkins) presented checks to several local charities on Wednesday. The
Akikta Club members worked at the Georgia National Fair ticket booth as their
fundraiser for the local charities. Frank Shelton of Perry Volunteer Outreach,
Pam Barnard with the Heart of Georgia Hospice, LaVita Duncan with Meals on
Wheels, Davis Cosey of Friends of the Perry Animal Shelter, Lora Arledge of the
Houston Arts Alliance, Ellie Loudermild with the Perry Area Historical Society,
Stephanie Steinbart of Jay’s Hope, Tricia Parker with Delta Kappa Gama and
Sandra Yawn with Loaves and Fishes receive the donations from the club.
