Houston County school bus flips over at Gunn Road, Highway 41

According to the sheriff’s office, four students from Quail Run Elementary School, a driver and a monitor were on the school bus.

WARNER ROBINS — The Houston County Sheriff’s Office responded to an overturned school bus on Highway 41, near the Gunn Road intersection on Wednesday. 

According to the sheriff’s office, four students from Quail Run Elementary School, a driver and a monitor were on the school bus.

School district staff also responded immediately to the scene. A press release says they assisted deputies with contacting family members and reuniting students with their parents. 

There were no major injuries reported and all students are okay.

The Houston County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division is actively investigating the cause of the accident. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Traffic Division at (478) 542-2080. 

“I am thankful for the quick response of all first responders and the school district. Our children’s  protection and safety is our utmost priority,” said Sheriff Matt Moulton.
