MOMS Club of Warner Robins unveils upgraded food pantry for those in need
The MOMS Club of Warner Robins are continuing to help others in times of need as they recently displayed their improved food pantry to the community on Tuesday, Oct. 7.
WARNER ROBINS — The MOMS Club of Warner Robins recently revealed their updated food pantry on Tuesday, Oct. 7, located in front of Between Friends Coffee.

MOMS Club is an international non-profit and stands for Moms Offering Moms Support.
“We do anything to help another mom out or another family, and we also do service projects throughout the year. One of our service projects is the pantry,” MOMS Club Warner Robins President Rachel Toomer said.
The pantry has been around for about six years and has since been revamped and redone to add more space, according to Toomer.
“As soon as we could fill what was already there, it was empty within two hours, so the turnaround was so fast and it needed more space,” she said.
The MOMS Club’s goal with the food pantry is to help those in need, whether it’s just once or more often.
“It is a way for them to be anonymous or [the pantry] is for those that may not qualify for other programs can come by if they need it,” she said.
Toomer shared that a previous president of the MOMS Club of Warner Robins noticed many people frequently asked for and needed food. The pantry was then put up just before the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Especially during COVID was then they realized it was getting utilized, and people were really needing extra things to help their family,” she said. “The [food pantry] then turned into a community within itself.”
Toomer thinks that the food pantry embodies what the MOMS Club of Warner Robins is all about.
“Part of our goal is to support other families and support people in need,” she said. “It is a way to support the community without them having to be involved with our club, so it can be anybody.”
In terms of future projects for MOMS Club Warner Robins, Toomer mentioned they usually hold a community yard sale in the spring.
“It’ll benefit a local mother and child family or a local non-profit that offers support to parents and children,” she said.
