Hurry on down to the HAM!
I decided to go by the old Hawkinsville Antique Mall. What a surprise!

I was down in Hawkinsville earlier this week for a termite inspection on a home and the inspector called to tell me he was an hour behind. I didn’t want to drive all the way back to Perry or Fort Valley so I decided to go by the old Hawkinsville Antique Mall. What a surprise!
The new owner, Terri Suggs and her dealers have created a beautiful space of all kinds of antiques, jewelry, home decor and all kinds of interesting items as well as original artwork.
Ms. Suggs relocated to Calhoun, Georgia from Idaho a couple of years ago and friends and family in Middle Georgia told her that there was an established antique mall in town for sale and Terri jumped at the opportunity! This super talented mother of two also has 2 lovely furbaby Anatolian Shepherds to guard her farmstead. She especially loves antique furniture and carpets.
Miss Kim at the counter was super friendly and knowledgeable. The HAM also sells products to take care of your antiques such as Howard’s beeswax products and such. Many of the dealers there have gone above and beyond to decorate their booths to lure you inside to seek out amazing treasures. There is something for everyone in there and they have great hours. Make sure to check them out and like their page on Facebook.
If you and your pals are looking for a fun day trip, head to Hawkinsville to the HAM and have lunch at Miss Judy’s Sandwich shop next door. I also hear there is another shop called Treasures on Lumpkin that I will have to check out and write an article about also! Don’t forget to be working on deciding what antiques you would like to enter in the fair the end of September, it is coming up fast! Happy Collecting!
