Northside football head coach Ben Bailey resigns
Bailey’s resignation comes on the heels of the Eagles’ 2-8 finish in the 2024 season.

Northside football head coach Ben Bailey has resigned as of Monday, according to Northside athletic director Mark Jones. The Central Georgia Sports Report was the first to confirm.
Bailey’s resignation comes on the heels of the Eagles’ 2-8 finish in the 2024 season. Only two teams in the school’s history have lost eight or more games according to the Northside football website (1-8-1 in 1964 and 0-9-1 in 1965).
Bailey finishes his two-year tenure on Green St. with a 6-15 record, the least wins of any Northside football coach. Previously, he was offensive coordinator at Peach County before accepting the job at Northside in 2023.
