State Rep. Bethany Ballard speaks to WR Rotarians

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Georgia State Representative Bethany Ballard, District 147, spoke Tuesday to Warner Robins Rotary Club about House Bill 138, the Literacy Act, and the importance of all children being competent to read on the third grade level. She discussed initiatives underway to improve literacy and math skills in Georgia as she serves in the House Education Curriculum Subcommittee. She also serves as vice chairman of Special Rules, and is a member of Defense and Veterans Affairs. The Warner Robins Rotary Club meets each Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m. at Curtis Event Center. The focus on club projects is to eradicate illiteracy and polio worldwide.
