MACON, Ga. — “Perry Night” for Mercer football fans will take place on August 27 against Morehead State. On “Perry Night”, fans ages 21 and over who purchase a season ticket in the Fall Line Brewery Section 108, will receive two free beverages each game. Season tickets in this section are available for $75. To purchase season tickets in Section 108, purchases are available online.

“The Fall Line Section will enhance the ‘Mercer Football Game Day Experience’ and have added value for our season ticket holders in Section 108,” said Davis Durden, director of Mercer Ticket Sales. “We are fortunate to partner with a locally owned business such as Fall Line Brewing Co., as it helps emphasize the heart of the Macon community.”

“As a Mercer graduate and local business owner, I’m excited to be cheering for my Bears and my beers,” said Fall Line Brewing Co.’s owner Kaitlynn Kressin. “Fall Line Brewing Co.’s partnership with Mercer Athletics is an amazing opportunity for locals to support locals and Bears to support Bears. We are excited to enhance the game day experience that Mercer has already created. We hope everyone will come out to celebrate and take part in the festivities.”

With less than two months until the first game, Mercer football found its way to another preseason ranking. College Football Network has tabbed the Bears at No. 16 in their initial preseason poll, the publication announced Thursday. A season ago, Mercer completed its best Southern Conference season in program history – a 6-2 mark and fell just short in the final regular season game against ETSU, which determined the SoCon championship. The Bears are joined by a pair of league foes; Chattanooga (12) and ETSU (17) – in the poll.

The Bears open the 2022 season on “PERRY NIGHT” Saturday, Aug. 27, at Five Star Stadium hosting Morehead State. The Bears return several starters and quality depth from a team that battled ETSU in the last game of the 2021 regular season to determine the Southern Conference championship.

Already, Mercer has been recognized in three pre-season polls for the upcoming season: College Football Network tabbed Mercer at No. 16, Athlon Sports has the Bears at No. 17 and Bluebloods placed MU at No. 18. Other fan activities surrounding “PERRY NIGHT” will be announced in the coming days.
