HOCO drops back-to-back weekend games: Bears fall to 0-7
The boy’s basketball coach for the Houston County Bears is Coach David Bivins. His HOCO Bears lost to the Warner Robins Demons 63-49 on Friday night and lost another contest on Saturday night in Perry. The Perry Panthers beat the Bears 72-55.
The Houston County Bears are on a seven game losing streak, but they will play the Lee County Trojans on Friday, December 12 in hopes of changing that. Tip-off is 7:30 p.m. in Warner Robins. Against the Warner Robins Demons, the leading scorer for the HOCO Bears was Malachi Jackson, with 17 points. The sophomore was four of nine shooting from the floor. Behind Jackson in scoring, was Jalen Jordan with 14 points. Jordan shot 50% from the floor against the Demons. Behind all leading scorers was Daniel LaMonte, with seven points. He also shot 50% from the floor.
Up-to-date, the leading scorers for the Houston County Bears are Jalen Jordan and Daniel LaMonte. Jordan is averaging 13 points, four rebounds and two steals. LaMonte is averaging 11 points per game, along with three rebounds per game.
Coach David Bivins and the HOCO Bears have scored 283 points and allowed 390 points in their first seven games of the season.
