Perry hotel homicide under investigation

According to Detective Sergeant Jason Jones, Thursday morning, around 1 a.m., the Perry Police Department received a call in reference to shots fired at the Great Inn, on St.Patrick’s Drive.

Jones informed that when units responded, they found the victim had been shot. Jones relayed that EMS and fire crews conducted lifesaving measures, but the victim succumbed to his injuries on the scene.

As of Thursday, Jones said there were no suspects in custody, but there were some leads that were being looked into. Jones asked that anyone with information pertaining to the incident contact either Lieutenant Ken Ezell or himself at the Perry Police Department at phone number 478-988-2800.
