Larry Horne
Eatonton – Larry Horne, 76, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2018.
Larry was born on April 19, 1941, in Macon, Georgia. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps before beginning his career in civil service at Robins Air Force Base. Larry was a Mason, a member of the Warner Robins Jaycees, and a judge for the Miss America preliminary pageants. He selflessly volunteered his time to the community and was recognized as ‘Volunteer of the Year’ for Warner Robins. His parents preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 50 years, Sheila Woodall Horne; daughters, Lisa Oneia Horne of Gray, Lori Leigh Horne Wooley (Kelby) of Augusta; grandchildren, Alexis Horne-Kitchens, Ashton Banguilan, Landon Banguilan; mother-in-law, Doris P. Woodall; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins; and his special companion, “Baby”.
Visitation will be Monday, February 5, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of McCullough. After the service, Larry will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery with military and Masonic honors.
