Murray Simmons Chism, Jr., 97, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 16th, 2017, in Loveland, CO. Mr. Chism was born July 11, 1920, in St. Louis, MO.

He was a graduate of Tenafly High School, Tenafly, NJ, 1938, and Bowdoin College, Brunswick, ME, 1942. He served in the US Army during World War 2, and during the Korean Conflict. He worked and retired from the General Electric Company in Hickory, NC after 29 years of service as an Employee Relations Specialist.

He married the love of his life, Ruth Marie Ullmann, in 1950. They lived in Hickory, NC, for 40 years, then moved to Warner Robins, GA where he resided for 13 years.

He was welcomed home by his parents, Murray Simmons Chism and Joanna Ross Chism, and brother Ross Chism. He was also welcomed home by his wife Ruth Chism and grandson Allen Black who both passed away in 2009.

He will forever live in the hearts of his son, Wayne Chism of Greeley, CO; daughter Lynn Black formerly from Warner Robins, GA; grandchildren, Meaghan Whitney and Andrew Chism, and Mark and Elizabeth Black.

A private service will be held by the family.
