Houston County Galleria

The Houston County Galleria shopping mall has been serving the residents in Centerville and Warner Robins and visitors from all over since 1994. It has all the big department stores like J.C. Penney, Belk and Sears. Along with the department stores there are 37 different specialty stores, a food court, and three salon services. The Galleria also has military recruiting offices for the Air Force, Air Force Reserves, Army, Marines and Navy.

The Galleria is not just for shopping; it also serves as a venue. Lauren Lamica, the marketing coordinator for the mall, said serving as a venue makes them unique. There have been several local organization events and outside businesses that have hosted expos to showcase their products in addition with the mall hosting their own events like the Winter Wonderland and Spring Fling.

“We like to offer our facility for different types of groups to come in,” said Lamica. “It is a non-traditional event space, but we have had multiple businesses and groups who have repeatedly come back. There are several areas around the property where we can set up the events. Over the weekend we hosted a health fair that had 28 tables, but in March we are hosting a home expo show that will have 50 vendors.”

Lamica said you wouldn’t find a more welcoming atmosphere to shop, eat and relax.

“The stores here really know how to serve their customers best,” said Lamica. “They always have a smile on their faces and go above and beyond to help each customer individually. Our office, housekeeping staff, and maintenance staff will also welcome you and help in anyway they can.”

A lot of new things are going to be happening in 2016 at the mall. Lamica invites those who haven’t visited the mall in a while to come back and experience the excitement. “The website has been completely redone,” said Lamica. “We now have included a blog called the HOCO Gal. But to have more of a day-to-day update everyone should check out our Facebook page Houston County Galleria. We sometimes also do contests and giveaways on our Facebook.”

One event to go ahead and mark you calendars for coming to the Galleria is Easter. Lamica said the Easter Bunny is going to be here to take pictures from March 11 through the 26. The Houston County Galleria is located at 2922 Watson Boulevard in Centerville. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday 12 p.m. to 6 p.m
